Anthony Topoleski
Anthony Topoleski studied Russian literature and philosophy at the University of Oregon, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. In addition to his graduate study at Northwestern, Anthony completed ACTR’s Russian Language and Area Studies Program at Herzen University in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2016. Currently, with the support of a Social Sciences Research Council Grant in 2018 and a Fulbright Fellowship for the 2019/2020 academic year, he is working on a dissertation focusing on the culture of Soviet Stagnation and the Metarealist movement in Russian poetry that arose within it. His research interests include 20th and 21st century Russian poetry, prose, and film, postmodernism, cultural studies, hermeneutic philosophy, and Russian-American relations.
