Jacob Wirt

Jacob graduated from Beloit College with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Russian Language in 2013, and studied Russian at the Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow in 2011. In 2018, he received his M.A. from Northwestern University after defending his thesis on the skaz narrative style of Nikolai Leskov and is now pursuing a PhD in the Slavic Language and Literatures Department at NU. His research interests continue to focus on skaz narrative and expand to touch on folklore, issues of intertextuality, and theories of language and genre.
